At apr. Mile 14 (see Remote Properties
LLC real estate signs) on the north side
of the Edgerton Highway is where you will
find, tucked away in the woods, this nice
two story apr. 30' x 58' home.
For those of you who don't know the Edgerton
Highway, it may come as a surprise to
you, but this is one of the more scenic
highways in the State of Alaska. It starts
going east off the Richardson Highway
south of Copper Center to the quaint village
of Chitina (all paved and year round maintained).
From there the road goes another 60 miles
to the historic Kennicott - McCarthy area.
The area is flanked on the south side
by the magnificent Chugach Range separating
the ocean from the interior and on the
north side, the Wrangell St. Elias National
Park, with its awesome glacier capped
peaks reaching up to over 16,000'.
The house is 95% finished. The owner
figured it would take about another $4,000.-
to $5,000.- to complete the work, but
since they live in Texas they would give
someone a $10,000.- discount to complete
the work themselves.
If you have a lot of kids, want a huge
play or trophy room, the downstairs would
be the perfect place for it. There is
plenty of room for expansion if you want
to build a large garage - shop, etc. The
area is free of zoning, building codes
and best of all, no real property tax!
It is hard to believe but it still exists
in those semi remote areas.
For those of you who have children, there
is school bus service. The little community
of Kenny Lake has a school and church.
Shopping would be available in Glennallen
and or Anchorage to stock up on your goods.
Glennallen is about 45 minutes and Anchorage
is apr. a 4 hour drive.

Improved Recreation Fact Sheet and other
maps and plats for details.
The price is only: $199,000.-
