About a 4 hour drive south of Anchorage on the scenic Kenai Peninsula, near Happy Valley, is where you will find this nice 40 acre. From here it is only about 25 minutes to the quaint village of Homer.
For those of you who like to fish, here you are amidst it all. You have Ninilchik, Deep Creek or Anchor Point just a few miles to the north of you, with Soldotna being only about an hour drive north for all your shopping needs, including Fred Meyer, Safeway or McDonalds.
Driving south on the Sterling Highway go to about Mile Post 143, just after you cross the Happy Creek Bridge, take the gravel road to the left and go about 1½ miles (keep left) and you will see our sign for the nearby north west property corner. A GPS will be quite helpful to find all the corners.
The land consists of some small meadows and rolling hill terrain with spruce and birch trees peppered throughout the parcel (see photos). In this area you will have moose and an occasional bear wonder by your property. The ridge line that runs through the property could make a nice home site and one may even get a nice ocean view with the glacier capped mountains of the Alaska Range in the background.
The one lane gravel road leading by the property is not maintained in the winter time and one may need that 4 W/D pickup with a plow.
The price is certainly right for this large parcel!
The seller may even consider some owner financing with 50% down.
A great private place to live if you want to live off the Grid.
