There is great fishing in the lake, mainly for Northern Pike and the outlet of Hewitt Creek offers some fine King, Silver and Red salmon fishing and from there you have boat access to many tributaries of the Yentna – Skwentna River system and it’s tributaries for excellent fishing.
Moose and bear hunting is excellent! And many times moose and or bear can be seen crossing the runway, so for you pilots, “watch out” as they do not announce themselves.
