    This is what everybody wants but hard to find. A clean hand hewed Log Cabin out in the woods, "Off the Grid" and yet close to town for jet boat or snowmobile access. We sold this property to the present owner about 8 years ago. Things changed and they may be leaving the state. They did a lot of work and upkeep on the cabin and it shows well.

    You are in a great Moose and Bear hunting area with fantastic Salmon fishing, as well as Trout and Grayling!

    As for improvements, here's what we've done:   We added propane heat as the main heat source in 2010.  An 18000 btu direct vent propane heater.  We have one brand new spare in a box that will come with the cabin.  

    2017: New roof with R38 batt insulation, metal roof, 5/8 CDX Plywood, and squirrel proofed the gaps with metal screening. Haven't had a squirrel problem since.

    2017: Moved the stove pipe to the peak and rerouted the interior pipe to eliminate the snow shed issues with the old stove pipe (which was mounted at the eave)

    2017: Restained the entire exterior with Permachink Lifeline Ultra-2 Natural

    2017 and 2018: Chinked the logs

    2015: Wired the interior with low voltage indoor lighting, a 500W outdoor flood light, interior electrical outlets, and a ceiling fan. Just plug in a small generator and go for it!

    2014: Built a brand new 12x16 shed with a half loft for storage. Great for snow machine or 4-wheeler storage.  Metal roof, treated timber foundation. 2x6 construction and T1-11 siding (I can't find any pictures, but I'll get some in a couple weeks)

     "We absolutely love this cabin. It's quiet, cozy, and easy access to great summer and winter activities. It's a quick snow machine ride to Otter & Yensus lakes (or longer to Alexander Lake/Figure 8 lake) for pike ice fishing. There is also great day riding around Mt. Susitna and Derf Lake. Perfect area for running a trapline.  In the summer, Grayling, Silvers, Rainbows, and Pinks/Chum fishing is great at different times of the summer. The king salmon fishing is closed year round by Federal Order. We spent a lot of time fixing it up, giving it the TLC it needs. Our punch list is now complete and it's ready for you to enjoy!  We will be sad to see this peaceful oasis sell, but the next owner will really enjoy spending time playing out there. We hope the next owner loves it as much as we do. "
