A nice, quiet lake, apr. ¾ miles long is only about 15 miles north westerly of Willow as the crow flies and located between the Deshka River and the Kahiltna River.
To get there it is about a it is about a 50 mile flight from Anchorage or a short flight from Willow for float or ski plane access. The more hardy ones may snowmobile in off Petersville / Oilwell Road or off the Deshka or Yentna River, depending upon conditions.
Keep in mind, this area is "off the grid" and the only service you have may be cell phone, depending on the carrier.
Views of Mt. McKinley and the Alaska Range are absolutely breathtaking, as the mountains literally tower over the area. Northern Lights framed by the outlines of McKinley are a rather common occurrence and quite a sight!
The owner's dream was to build a log cabin but he got transferred (military) so his dreams got shattered and all the work he did; hauling in supplies as well as foundation pilings, a 17' Old Town canoe, camping equipment, two stoves, a Dutch oven, etc. to the property will be all yours.
As will be all the wildlife that becomes your neighbors, such as; Moose, Bears (both black and brown), Beavers, Loons, Eagles and of course, the fish in the lake (large Pike).
This is truly a quiet, stunning setting, even if you are not a snowmobiler or pilot it is only a short hop by plane from Willow.
