At the confluence of Tiekel River and the Copper River, is where you will find these extremely remote Properties.
This area first became famous in the early 19th century as a railroad turnaround for the Cordova – McCarthy railroad line that was serving the famous copper deposit in Kennecott.
The 2nd time was a few years ago when one of the reality movie companies discovered the area.
It is no wonder that people like this area, yet there are only so few properties available. Known for the World Renown Copper River Red run, as well as for Kings and Silver Salmon. It does not hurt that just across the "Mighty" Copper River is the Nation's largest national park, "Wrangell St. Elias National Park".
Access is by river boat from Chitina or by a small float or ski plane, and landing in what is call "Harley's Pond".
Pilots, please check it out before hand as winds can be rather fierce along the Copper River.
