As the name says, there are definitely bears around, mainly out of two reasons; a Salmon stream is to the east as well as to the south, but the main reason is that you are only about 6 or 7 miles out of the Lake Clark National Park Wilderness area. And since bears can not read or do not know borders and there are no fences, they move in and out of the Park constantly.
The lake is big enough to accommodate most ski and float planes. The ocean is only a couple of miles away and of course, the view is nothing less then Awesome, with the towering Alaska Range to the back of you. The mountains are year round capped in snow and ice and reaching up to almost 10,000' or more.
Of course, for you hunters, I understand there is good moose hunting and you may now and then spot a wolf.
From Kenai it is just a straight flight across the Inlet by floatplane, about a half hour and from Anchorage it is around a 50 minute flight.
A great cabin site, but keep in mind, you are totally off the grid.
