A great find for Crosswind Lake, where seldom anything comes up for sale. Well there is a reason for this. This lake is very popular for Fishermen and Hunters alike. There are stories abound of 40 pound Lake Trout, large Burbot, Grayling, White Fish and of course, Red Salmon.
For Hunting, there seems to be a small resident Caribou herd around all year. But then you also can witness the migration of the large, Nelchina Caribou Herd every fall and spring, that has increased from 30,000 to 50,000 animals per a Fish and Game report.
The Cabin is about 10' off the ground with a retractable stairwell, as the owner did not want to have any bear problems. The cabin itself is apr. 320 sq. ft, well insulated with a kitchen, propane refrigerator and stove, plus wood and propane for heat.

Access to Crosswind Lake is about a 3 hour drive on the Glenn Highway to Tolsona Lake, from there a snowmobile trail less than 20 miles to the property. It is possible to get to the property by 4 or 6 wheeler (the 4' wide ones) from Tolsona Lake, but it is not an easy trip. Of course, there is also floatplane/ski plane access with a seasonable charter service from Tolsona Lake (Lee's Air Taxi).
So when you are looking for an affordable, well kept and clean cabin, you may just have found the "Right" place. A quiet setting and a great playground for whatever activities you have in mind.
