A gorgeous setting with a great view after clearing some of the big trees over Little Johnstone Lake and Johnstone Bay.
The property sits back from the estuaries so you don't have to worry about any flooding at high tides. There is also a small creek running through Tract A, which is great for your fresh water supply and the creek may even drive a small Pelton Wheel to produce your own hydro electric.
I have been told the little creek coming out of Johnstone Lake is full of Silver Salmon at the right time of the year. And of course, Johnstone Bay offers great Salmon fishing – Halibut fishing as well as Shrimp and Crab.
A great place at a fantastic price of only $35,000.- for the two parcels.
"The Following Narrative was Written by the Seller"
I staked these with my father many years ago, and I can still remember the incredible profusion of edible plants, the eagles nesting in the conifers, the smell of the woods. Some of those trees were so big that the two of us combined couldn't get our arms around the girth! One advantage to the lower piece is that there is a creek on it that one could build a Pelham waterwheel on to generate electricity year round and mill one's own lumber as well—both parcels have incredible old growth forest, more than sufficient to build a log mansion if one wanted.
The scenery is breathtaking, it's quiet (except, of course, for the racket made by the eagles, ravens, gulls, and other birds, depending on the time of day—definitely an ornithologist's delight), hunters or fishermen would love it, and people wanting a remote vacation cabin would have a beautiful spot.
