Lake Minchumina is without a doubt, Alaska Interior's most desirable lake. You have twice weekly, Monday and Thursday, scheduled air service, $150.- per person, which is a great advantage over other places where you can pay up to 10 times as much just for the air fare.
This lake offers, without a doubt, some of the most outstanding views of Mt. McKinley, Mt. Foraker and the Alaska Range.
So, no matter what, if you are a Naturalist, Shutterbug or even a Hunter (I have been told that several big Moose have been taken off the river) you will have plenty to keep you entertained. And yes, there are Bears around too.
The lake is only one to two miles west of the border of McKinley Park and Preserve, so you should see quite a wildlife population, as animals do not see any borders.
The Cabin is well built, stout as it can be for some of the harsher winters, and it literally comes with everything. A nice 16' boat with a 20 hp Yamaha 4 stroke motor that just sips a little gas.
Chainsaws, generator, power tools, it all stays so all you have to bring is just a couple of steaks and your favorite brew.
The Price for all this is certainly reasonable considering that every nail, nut and bolt had to be flown in. But as the seller told me, he prefers a cash sale and he would make someone
a "Hellava" deal for all cash. So let me know your best number.
Keep in mind, the Alaska real estate market has been rather slow in the remote areas, but over the last year or so we have seen a lot of activity and properties like this one
don't stay on the market very long.
Asking Price: 78,500.-
