Mankomen Lake is best known for it's "Great" Moose hunting as well as "Fantastic" Lake Trout fishing!
As you can see from the location you are really off into an area that is hidden away on the foothills of the Alaska Range, with some old mining trails through the area.
Access, well… it is best by float plane or ski plane or one can fly in from Tok with a commercial operator (40 Mile Air), who has permission to use the private landing strip.
One could also access the property from Mentasta Pass, where I have been told a very rough trail goes to the lake. More like a 6-wheeler or Argo adventure.
In the winter time, access would be by snowmobile, although not for the novice.
The Log Cabin is apr. 20' x 30' with a Loft; comes fully equipped with Furniture, Bedding, Cooking Utensils, etc. There is an On-Demand Hot Water Heater for summer use and the water comes from the crystal-clear lake.
There are all kinds of "Toys" and "Tools" included; from 2 Polaris 6-wheelers, a Polaris snowmobile, 2 Honda water pumps, a welder (110V), solar panels, a freezer to the Kubota backhoe (see picture).
The owners actually lived there year-round in the earlier days. If you want something very special with just a handful of places on the lake, off the grid and "Remote", this is it! And priced very low for a quick sale. Naturally the owner prefers to have all cash, but may look at a short term note, owner financed with a minimum of a $35K down payment.
The Price is only: $65,000.-
