The current owner bought the place about 5 years back and had the dream of spending time in the Alaska Wilderness in an original Trapper Cabin. As so often happens many times, life changes and dreams do not come true, so he decided to make the property available to someone with equal dreams and have their dream materialize.
The cabin has not been occupied for 5 years, although the wood stove pipe got fixed. But one never knows if one of those "cute" squirrels did not get in and sometimes they can do more damage than a herd of teenagers.
The Place is equipped with basic Appliances; Cabinets and Furniture, but keep in mind you are off the grid and access is either by float/ski plane about a half hour from Anchorage. Or one can take a river boat up the Yentna River from the Deshka Landing in Willow and it is about less than a mile to the property from the river.
Of course, there is snowmobile access in the wintertime. Boat or snowmobile travel time is apr. 1-2 hours depending on conditions.
The access from Fish Creek to the lake is usually blocked by a beaver dam. The Lake offers excellent Pike fishing and Fish Creek as well as Lake Creek have "Fantastic" Salmon fishing.
Of course, your neighbors will more the 4-legged kind, such as: Moose – Bear and other Wildlife Alaska is known for.
