If you deal in remote properties like we do, only every so often will you find a place like this. This is, without a doubt, your "Perfect" family Retreat; be it just for the summer or year-round. Well, the choice is yours. But you will hardly find a place more convenient or nicer.
Yes, you are definitely remote with all the wild animals Alaska has surrounding you. Off the grid, although you will hardly notice and of course, you have what every one wants and only a few have; an unobstructed view of Mt. McKinley/Denali. Quite a site during the midnight sun or under the glowing dancing lights of the Aurora Borealis.
You have a Private Airstrip, nice and dry, about 1,000' or so. Big enough for most smaller wheel planes and of course, you have the lake for your floatplane. If you do not have an airplane, civilization is only about 30 miles flight either to Willow (for wheel plane access), which is about a hour and a half drive north from Anchorage; or the quaint Community of Talkeetna, where you can charter a float plane, apr. 2+ hours from Anchorage.
Yes, one may get there by a P/U truck with 4 wheel drive off Petersville Road, as I did in about an hour and a half. The exact access location the owner will not divulge unless a sales agreement can be reached as he appreciates his privacy and likes to keep it that way. But yes, he will show you upon a visit the trail he put in, at least for the first mile or so.
So, yes, the first visit will have to be by plane.
The Place itself, well, look at the pictures as they speak a 1,000 words: from new Kitchen appliances; refrig. – freezer – washer/dryer, to a multi redundant phone system, TV/Internet reception, etc. Once you are there you would never think you were out in the wilderness.
There are 2 nice Bedrooms plus a Sleeping Loft in the main building (1 bedroom is currently being used as a computer office). Heat is provided by a Wood Fired Stove and substituted by Toyo Heaters and a Toyo Instant Hot Water Heater.
There are 2 Wells that supply great water, a State approved Septic System; my God the List goes on and on!!! But let me mention just a few more features.
The Guest Cabin is beautifully appointed, well, it is nice enough your friends may never want to leave. The Sauna Building has a picture window overlooking the Lake and the Magnificent Alaska Range, Mt. McKinley, Foraker, etc.
Then there is the separate "Utility Building", where a large array of special batteries are charged from the large Solar Panel or the 2 Wind Generators and well, if that is not enough an 8 KW Generator will automatically kick in to supply you with all the power you will ever need, should the need arise.
Oh yes, there are several Generators just in case; redundancy everywhere, as out in the remote areas you always want to be prepared.
There is even a Helicopter Pad.
Of course, you have an Airplane Hangar to park your "Toy" and keep it snow free in the wintertime. There is a concrete floor in the Hangar with a Mezzanine for storage and a well-equipped Mechanic Shop, full of nuts and bolts and all the little things you may need – storage galore!
We can go on and on, but this is not a property you are going to buy from pictures and the description alone; you HAVE to take a flight out there and the gracious owner will give you "The Tour". Plan on about 4-5 hours and of course, the owner will only be available for showing on a clear day where you see the mountains and can take in the ambiance.
The Price for this all including all the furniture, supplies, tools, etc. is only $595,000 $625,000
New bank financing may be available to the well qualified buyer.
Of course, if you would like to have all the construction equipment the owner has onsite; Backhoe, Loader, Dozer, Vehicles, etc. the owner will make a deal with you for any or all of the equipment separate from the real estate purchase. Check out the pictures of the equipment.
