Well, every so often we are able to find you the place you all have been dreaming of and yet, still being affordable.
You have government land on 3 sides and the Tyone River on the east side. It is almost impossible to duplicate a setting like this. This happens to be an old Homesite survey from years gone by.
The original cabin is still there, but the owner has since built 3 additional structures with one being a beautiful Log Cabin/Home, a Guest Log Cabin and another Shop/Storage Cabin.
Well you can call it "Roughing it in the wilderness", where your only neighbors are wolves, moose, caribou or bears (the brown one that is).
The inside has all the creature comforts you might expect in any modern new home; from a propane refrigerator, 24" propane stove, microwave, wood and oil stoves to fend off the cold winter days, satellite dish, fixed cell phone, a nice bathroom with a shower and a sink plus a 12 volt and 110 volt power system with a 2500 watt inverter, LED lights, a tankless propane hot water heater and a water pump to fill up the holding tank from where the water is gravity fed to the house.
The place comes fully furnished and all you have to bring are your snowshoes, favorite fishing pole and rifle. In addition, there is an array of tools and power equipment that goes with the sale; generator, air compressor, work bench and the misc. of tools, parts and other items needed for the day to day life in the bush.
For those of you who don't know this is right in the midst of the "Mighty" Nelchina Caribou Herd, which at last count was over 30,000 and comes through there every Fall and Spring.
Fishing is fantastic in the area, be it for Arctic Grayling, Lake Trout or Burbot (please check out Fish & Games rules for hunting and fishing throughout this area).
It is about 25 miles or so by jet boat or snowmobile from the Lodge at Lake Louise, where you can stock up on a year round basics, like fuel and propane. For food and other items, it is apr. an hour drive to Glennallen or about 3 hours to Anchorage.
A river boaters paradise as from there you can explore the Tyone River where you will rarely ever see a sole on the river. In the winter, there are maintained snowmobile trails to Crosswind Lake, Eureka and some of the other back country areas for you to explore.
Please click on the pictures to enlarge them so you can see all the intricate details the owner has put into this place.
If you think this is the place for you, please let us know as the owner will only show this place during the summer months, from the end of May to the beginning of September.
Impossible to duplicate for the $219,000.- $209,000 asking price!!!
