About two miles due East from Shell Lake is where you will find this, about a mile long tucked away, picturesque Lake.
I have been told there is some great Moose hunting and you may even catch a fish or two. Don't be surprised if you see the lone Wolf crossing over from the Yentna River to the Skwentna River.
The cabin has not been used for several years and it may need some TLC, as it was built in the 80's. But as the old trappers say; "Any old cabin is better than the best tent". And certainly the price reflects this.
Here you have floatplane or ski plane access and in the winter you will be able to get there by snowmobile as you are only a few miles from the Iditarod Trail. It is about a 2.5-to-3-hour snowmobile trip from Willow – Deshka Landing along the Yentna River to Skwentna and from there cross country to Shell Lake.
So, if you are looking for something special and away from the beaten path, look no further, you have just found it! There are only about a handful of cabins on this lake, and you might just be happy to see a neighbor now and then.
The very reasonable price of $37,500 25,000- makes this hard to pass up, but the cabin is dilapidated due to lack of maintenance and the seller will look at any reasonable cash offer.
